About the Event
Hi! I'm Dr. Libby Roesner, I am a Co-Founder of The Virtual Cooee and a Lifetime Member of 'THE Rural Woman' (a visionary cooperative focused on enabling the advancement of rural women and girls).
I’m excited to introduce the Virtual Co-Working Club! I’m testing the waters to see if there is interest in virtual co-working within The Rural Woman and The Virtual Cooee communities to help with our accountability and achieving goals in business.
The idea is to build a community of female business owners who come together regularly to share a virtual workspace for a dedicated time each week. This is a time that we commit to focus on working on our businesses (or anything else that’s important to us).
The purpose is to provide accountability and to create a supportive, friendly, online environment where we can connect and get important things done for our businesses. By working together regularly, we will create an inspiring and encouraging “can-do” energy that inspires action.
We are not ALL about work though! We also want to enjoy the friendship, camaraderie, and constructive support of other driven and inspirational businesswomen. This is an excellent opportunity to network ask questions and get tips and help for your business. (You may even find some new clients!)
If you think it's a fit for you and it will help you to stay focused and inspired in your business, please sign up here (https://forms.gle/z5u9QAVEFyAWYptm8) and join us on Friday mornings (use the Zoom link in this event) - If there is enough demand we will run sessions on other days/times too. I'm looking forward to working alongside you! Note: If you signed up at a previous Co-Working Club event you don't have to do it again.
Here's a summary of what we'll do on "Friday Morning Focus" starting at 8:50 am (Sydney time):
8:50 am: Participants join the Zoom meeting greet each other and set their intentions for the co-working session in the chat.
9:00 am: The first 50-minute working sprint begins. (Muted)
9:50 am: A 10-minute break/open chat session where participants can stretch, grab a drink, and socialise with each other.
10:00 am: The second 50-minute working sprint begins. (Muted)
10:50 am: A final 10-minute reflection session for participants to share progress and celebrate achievements and reflect on their experiences throughout the co-working sessions.
11:00 am: An optional social networking session where participants can discuss business ideas, request support, suggest referrals, and connect with other members.
11:20 am: Zoom room will close.
Who? Members of the Virtual Co-Working Club are typically female business owners who are looking for a supportive community to inspire them to grow their businesses. Membership is open to Rural and Regional women working in any industry or those who feel strongly aligned. If you didn't already, you can join the Co-Working Club here: https://forms.gle/z5u9QAVEFyAWYptm8
Cost? Membership to the Virtual Co-Working Club is FREE and I'd like to keep it that way - because everyone benefits from the experience. I'm hoping we can also share the hosting amongst the Members so that we don't have to cancel any sessions when the main host can't attend.
When? We intend to run the "Friday Morning Focus" - 2.5 hr session every Friday morning except for Public Holidays. (We will notify the membership if this session time changes). Please note that by becoming a Virtual Co-Working Club Member there is no obligation to attend regularly or even stay for the whole duration. You do what's right for you - the goal is for you to work towards your own business goals.
Etiquette Please!
Here are some general guidelines that you need to consider when you join the Virtual Co-Working Club:
Treat others with respect and kindness: Always treat other members of the club with respect and kindness. Remember that everyone is there to work on their own business and achieve their goals.
Be inclusive: Make an effort to include everyone in the group conversations, regardless of their background, gender, or ethnicity. Avoid any behavior or language that could be perceived as exclusive or discriminatory.
Please respect each other's time: When participating in a virtual co-working group session, it's important to be punctual and professional, please respect the time and focus of the other attendees. If you must leave before the end that is fine - just leave a short message in the chat and let us know how you did. If you are unavoidably late, please don't interrupt a sprint session, just add your intention to the chat and get on with your work tasks, we will greet you and catch up with you in the break.
Set clear goals: Before each co-working session, it can be helpful to set clear goals and priorities for the work you'll be doing. This can help you stay focused and make the most of your time. It’s great if you can have your goals prepared in a document and then cut and paste them into the chat when you enter the room.
Give and receive feedback: If other members ask for feedback or support on their work, be respectful and constructive in your response. If you receive feedback, try to take it in a positive and productive way.
Participate in surveys: We encourage you to give honest feedback about your experience in the Virtual Co-Working Club - we will ask you to give feedback regularly in a quick questionnaire. Please be supportive and share your wins and positive experiences. If you have constructive suggestions or feedback that's fine too - we always love to know how we can improve the group. Please remember, you are under no obligation to attend these sessions and you can always leave the session if it is not productive. You are under no obligation to keep attending if it's not a fit for you.
I hope that the Virtual Co-Working Club has piqued your interest, and I would love to welcome you as a member of our community soon. Please join us on Fridays and let me know your thoughts or questions or if there is anything I can help you with.
When you RSVP you will receive an email and a reminder email with the Zoom link for the event. In case you can't find it, here is the Zoom link to join us on Friday Mornings: https://bit.ly/3ZtHqlH
Blooming with love,
