Tech Spotlight - Slack - Sept 29, 2021 @1:00 pm

Slack is one of our favourite tools to communicate with each other about different business areas or projects.  The Slack App allows us to discuss projects and issues in a 'channel-based' messenging platform.  This App saves us so many back and forth emails to discuss and check the status of different tasks and projects. It's also a great way to get approval for changes and make sure everyone is up to date with what's going on in different areas or with different documents. 

The one-click responses with emoji reactions can quickly let others know you've seen or approved the progress on project or that you agree or disagree with a certain decision. 

We will show you how we set up different channels and a how we use Slack to keep everyone up to date with projects and documents. We keep things simple in Slack  - it's good not to overcomplicate things!  

We have found it to be a great tool make sure that we have a place to chat about projects and make sure that everyone knows what's going.  Slack does offer a free version which we find is more than adequate for our needs.
